21 Days of Prayer

21 Days of Prayer

Why prayer? We believe that the Holy Spirit is alive and working within our church. We desire to be a church that is led exclusively by the Holy Spirit. Therefore, we gather together for 21 days to pray for mighty acts of the Spirit to happen in our individual lives, in our church, in our community, and around the world. Begininng January 5 through January 25, we will gather together each morning at 6:00 am on weekdays and 8:30 am on Saturdays for a time of worship and prayer.

This study will equip you to be an agent of change in our divided and segmented world. We will discuss how to go on offense (not defense) in our current culture to share the love of God. When we accept the love and grace of God, we are forever changed. Jesus calls us to tell our story and change the world; but we must go first. Love always goes first.

Prayer Journal Workshop

Prayer Journal Workshop

Learning in Small Groups

Join our Women’s Ministry in the Library on January 18 from 3:00-5:00 pm for a brand-new workshop! Design a one-of-a-kind prayer journal that blends faith, reflection, and creativity. In this guided mixed media workshop, you’ll create a hand-embellished church design on the cover of a spiral-bound journal—symbolizing refuge, prayer, and hope.

Starting with a blank journal, you’ll layer paint, collage elements, vintage hymn or book pages, and expressive brushstrokes to create a piece that reflects your personal prayer life and creative style. No two journals will be alike.

This workshop is open to all skill levels—no art experience needed. You’ll be guided step-by-step in a relaxed, reflective environment that encourages creative freedom, sacred rest, and connection.

What Does God Say About: Goodness (January)

What Does God Say About: Goodness (January)

Learning in Small Groups

Join VHMC’s Women’s Ministry for an uplifting time of dessert and discussion as we launch a new devotional series centered around the Fruit of the Spirt.

Our gathering will be on Tuesday, January 20, with speaker Julie Harper-Pappalardo giving a devotion on Goodness. Each monthly session will feature a different speaker sharing her personal experience with one of the Fruit of the Spirit, followed by small-group discussion questions to help deepen our understanding and connection.

We will meet in the Student Ministry Gathering Space on the second floor of the Lighthouse. To accommodate different schedules, each session will be offered twice on the third Tuesday of each month—once at 2:00 pm and again at 6:00 pm. All women are invited to come be inspired, connect with others, and grow in faith as we explore the fruit God desires to grow in each of us!
